Web Performance Consultant/Assistant Consultant

If you follow my Advanced Web Metrics blog and/or read the book, you hopefully have a good idea of my personality i.e. my vision, direction, drivers and passion for this industry. Although a Googlephile, I consider myself broad minded enough to recognise that Google is not the only way - in fact I run Microsoft and Yahoo analytics here as well. I just happen to think that Google does a very good job at this.

Even if the product/tool doesn't have the specific feature I am looking for, I know it is only a matter of time before they get there. Simply put they "get it". They get the digital medium and the whole revolution around it. Most importantly they put the end-user (not a paying advertiser) first - which, in fact is also in the best interests of the advertiser. If that doesn’t make any sense to you, read no further.

What is my bigger picture view?

What am I looking for?

Someone that shares this vision, has read some of the books that have influenced me , and can combine this with analytics experience gained from working with (or within) enterprise clients. If this describes you, please read on…

Description: I am looking for someone to provide client training, report interpretation, account management and business development for Google Analytics. The role will be to grow new and existing clients in the UK and Nordic markets. This is a senior role, though I would be interested in you if you feel you can grow to the next level.

Skill Range: Educated to at least HND/degree level, a good understanding of Search Engine Marketing techniques and web measurement principals are required. A demonstrable flare for knowledge transfer and communication and a good inquisitive mind are a prerequisite, as well as an interest in travelling to meet clients. Travel is mostly in the UK but can also be abroad. I also encourage presenting at industry conferences/events. Product training will be provided as necessary both from me and at Google’s global head quarters in California.

You should be well organised and able to cope with a variety of different tasks and priorities, as well as demonstrating an ability for problem solving and logical thinking. Skills include confidence with viewing html (though this is not a coding job!), web site architecture understanding and MS Office wizardry. Minimum 3 years commercial Internet experience required.

This is a client facing role and the suitable candidate is expected to have a high standard of both written and verbal communication skills.

Salary: £Dependent on experience.
